We had the privilege of participating in the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP) Congress last week. At EAHP we hosted a satellite event exploring automated non-sterile pharmacy compounding.

We are grateful to Dr. Marija Tubic-Grozdanis from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz Hospital Pharmacy, Dr. Jana Lass from Tartu University Hospital Pharmacy and Dr. Torsten Hoppe-Tichy from Heidelberg University Hospital Pharmacy for their participation in presenting experiences from using CurifyLabs’ automated compounding technology.

We advocate for deep collaboration across all levels of healthcare to ensure seamless and high-quality pharmaceutical care, as also emphasized by the EAHP organizers. Our solution is developed in close collaboration with leading European pharmacists and clinicians, and this cooperation continues to be an essential part of our future development and research efforts.

One point of discussion during EAHP was that pharmacists are leaving their jobs partly because it’s so demanding and stressful. The need for automation and innovative technologies was highlighted as an integral part in helping with workloads and staffing in bringing back the love for the profession and that the pharmacists’ can focus on treatment of patients. This is why we are happy to offer our automated technology, which delivers peace of mind to compounding pharmacist thanks to it’s integrated quality control features and supporting quality documentation.

Thank you EAHP for the opportunity! It was incredibly inspiring to meet with leading European pharmacists to further shape the future of our profession.
