As an entrepreneur, CEO and mother, who sometimes sleep a few hours less than I should I am happy to share that I wake up every morning with joy. I am proud and excited about the company we have built. CurifyLabs is something completely unique and new in the healthcare technology landscape. Our pioneering innovation is ready to transform manufacturing of personalized medicine and patient care quality globally.
Our journey began with a simple question: How can we make medication preparation safer, faster, and more accessible? The answer led us to develop our state-of-the-art automated system, which ensures precision and efficiency in the preparation of non-sterile dosage forms. This technology is not just a step forward in compounding; it's a leap towards redefining personalized medicine.
The significance of non-sterile compounding cannot be understated. It involves the preparation of medications tailored to the needs of individual patients, often used in settings ranging from pediatrics and oncology to pain management and hormone replacement therapy. This process is still manual, time-consuming, and prone to human error, limiting the potential for scalability and consistency in patient care.
When I speak with people outside of the pharma industry, many are truly surprised to hear that a pestle and mortar is still a common tool in compounding pharmacies. In fact, many don’t even know that pharmacies still prepare personalized medicines, because they are in a lucky position to benefit from market authorized medicines. Then again sometimes, I meet people who have a personal experience of compounded medicines. To hear about the stress of trying to find a compounding pharmacy in the middle of the night, when you’re running low on that extremely vital medicine for your child. Or the pregnant mother, who is splitting toxic pills for her cancer patient child in her kitchen.
